Scientific investigations in Year 3

Beech and Sycamore enjoyed finding out about changing states of matter in the Science Lab last week. Write your answers to the following questions:

What is the melting point of water?

What is the freezing point of water?

How can you turn a solid into a liquid?

    1.The melting point of water is the temperature at which it changes from solid ice into liquid water.
    2.When water turns to ice it freezes . The temperature water freezes at zero degree Celsius.
    3.Cooling a liquid can turn it into a solid.
